Role: Assistant Manager – Kitchen & Operations

Big Red Treats is a locally owned soft-serve ice cream, popcorn, and fudge shop built around one simple belief: Always Celebrate.

With two retail locations and a full commercial kitchen producing gourmet popcorn and fresh fudge weekly, we are growing — and we are hiring an Assistant Manager – Kitchen & Operations to help lead across both stores and our production kitchen.

This is a full-time leadership role supporting retail operations and commercial kitchen production.

The Role

This position works between our two stores and our commercial kitchen, and is responsible for:

• Overseeing weekly gourmet popcorn and fudge production
• Managing bulk and custom order fulfillment
• Maintaining product quality and presentation standards
• Supporting daily operations at both retail locations
• Training and elevating team members

Organization, attention to detail, and follow-through are essential.

This role requires someone who can move between kitchen production and front-of-house leadership with confidence.

Key Responsibilities

Commercial Kitchen & Production

• Manage weekly popcorn and fudge production
• Ensure bulk and custom orders are accurate and on time
• Maintain inventory and food safety standards
• Protect consistency and brand quality

Retail Operations & Leadership

• Support operations across both store locations
• Assist with shift leadership and training
• Hold standards high in cleanliness, organization, and execution
• Coach staff and model professionalism

Compensation

• $40,000 starting annual salary + profit sharing
• Full-time position
• Salary growth opportunities as the company expands
